First Attempt

You have had extenuating circumstances approved for assessment(s) with a status of ‘First Attempt’ and can now sit these as if for the first time at the next available opportunity. Please be aware that there will be implications for your progression if you do not complete the required coursework or sit your exams.

What do I need to do now?

  • If you have not received confirmation of your extenuating circumstances, please contact Advice Zone.
  • We advise you to read the First Attempt Information for undertaking your assessment(s) that have been approved by extenuating circumstances.
  • It is your responsibility to contact your module leader about your assessment(s).

International Students

Study Length May be Extended – As you have not yet successfully completed all the assessments assigned to you during your period of study you may not have enough time on your current visa to complete your studies in the UK. If you are concerned that this may be the case, you should contact Immigration & International Student Advice Team.
