Continue Carry First Attempt and Resit (New Academic Year)

Learna/Unicaf STUDENTS ONLY

You can continue studying on the same level of your course in the next academic year, however you have a mixed profile which means the following:

  • You have had extenuating circumstances approved for assessment(s) with a status of ‘First Attempt’ and can now sit these as if for the first time at the next available scheduled assessment opportunity (uncapped). Please note, if you are already repeating the assessment(s), the modules will be capped at the module pass mark. Please refer to the course handbook for module pass mark.

  • You will be required to resit the assessment(s) with a status of 'Resit' during the allocated timeframe.

Please be advised that you will not be able to attain a mark higher than the overall module pass mark in any module where you are re-sitting an assessment. Your actual assessment mark will be recorded, and the overall module will be capped at the pass mark in any module in which a resit assessment has been given. Please refer to course handbook for module pass mark. Please refer to course handbook for module pass mark. This does not apply to any module that has approved extenuating circumstances.

On completion of the course level, your academic profile will be considered, and your overall grade confirmed at a later Assessment Board.

Please be aware that there will be implications for your progression and continued studies if you do not complete required assessment at the next available scheduled assessment opportunity. If you need any advice or support or have not received confirmation of your extenuating circumstances:
