Continue Carry First Attempt and Repeat (New Academic Year)

Learna/Unicaf STUDENTS ONLY

You can continue studying on the same level of your course in the next academic year, however you have a mixed profile which means the following:

  • You have had extenuating circumstances approved for assessment(s) with a status of ‘First Attempt’ and can now sit these as if for the first time at the next available scheduled assessment opportunity (uncapped). Please note, if you are already repeating the assessment(s), the modules will be capped at the module pass mark. Please refer to the course handbook for module pass mark.

  • You cannot undertake any repeat modules with a status of ‘Repeat’ at this time, until your overall stage (level) profile has been confirmed.

Please be advised that you will not be able to attain a mark higher than the overall module pass mark in any repeat modules. Your actual assessment mark will be recorded, and the overall module will be capped at the pass mark. This does not apply to any module that has approved extenuating circumstances.

On completion of the course level, your academic profile will be considered, and your overall grade confirmed at a later Assessment Board.

Please be aware that there will be implications for your progression and continued studies if you do not complete required assessment at the next available scheduled assessment opportunity. If you need any advice or support or have not received confirmation of your extenuating circumstances:
