Student ID Card Collection 2023/2024

The University of South Wales Student SMART ID card is multi-purpose and acts as your University identification, Library card, Door Entry card and allows you access to University services and facilities.

You will be issued with a student ID card in the first year of your course. Your ID card will remain valid for the duration of your course and will not be re-issued annually.  The expiry date is shown on the card.

If your course is based at a University campus:

Cardiff, Newport and Glyntaff and Treforest based students

The student ID cards will be available from the Advice Zone at the relevant Campuses from Monday 8th January to Friday 16th February (9am – 4.30pm) from a Student Navigator.

If student’s do not collect their ID cards between 8th January and 16th February they will still be able to collect their student ID cards from the following locations:

Your ID card will be issued when you attend Campus to enrol.

If you are returning to University to continue with your studies this year, the student ID card issued to you in the first year of your course is valid until the expiry date shown on the card.  

If you think this expiry is incorrect or needs extending please contact your Campus Advice Zone.

If you have lost your ID card, you can order a replacement from the University's online store.
